CDMX Honeymoon.

Ana & Luis · May 24–31, 2026 · 7 nights · Culture · Food · Romance · All-cash

1

The trip

You lift off before sunrise and drift over pyramids that have stood for eighteen centuries, the basket silent except for the burner. By evening you're on a rooftop with mezcal in hand as the jacarandas along Av. Ámsterdam turn gold. And one night, the tasting menu you've waited years to sit down for finally arrives, course by course.

A culture-, food- and romance-forward honeymoon in Mexico City — no beach. You stay in one walkable base and take day trips out, so you unpack once.

Book these immediately

  • Pujol & Quintonil — Michelin-tier tables fill ~6 weeks out. Book first.
  • Teotihuacán sunrise balloon — sells out weeks ahead, and the right operator matters more than the price. Operator in your plan
  • Frida Kahlo Museum — timed tickets vanish 2–4 weeks out. We watch the release calendar so you don't have to.
  • Cooking class & hacienda horseback — confirm 1–2 weeks out.

Your base

Stay in Roma Norte / Condesa — leafy, walkable, café-dense, and central to nearly everything on this plan. Tree-lined Av. Ámsterdam and Parque México are a two-minute stroll; dozens of restaurants and bars are within a 15-minute walk.

Days at a glance

One anchor per day, paced so the trip never feels like a checklist. Day 3 (Teotihuacán) is the hardest physical day, so Day 4 is deliberately lighter. Major museums close Mondays — that's why Day 2 is landmarks, not galleries. The full breakdown is in section 5.

The math

What Ana & Luis were about to pay on their own, versus the Travel Hack plan — same trip, same dates.

What Ana & Luis were about to pay (DIY) vs. the Travel Hack plan
Line item DIY Travel Hack
Flights (2 travelers, RT) $1,178 $996
Hotel (7 nights) $1,890 $1,015
Xochimilco trajinera $120 $75
Teotihuacán balloon (2) $440 $360
Total $3,628 $2,446
Saved $1,182

Plan fee: $149 (Smart) — net savings still $1,033.

Where the gaps come from: a routing most search engines bury, a boutique rate that never appears on aggregators, a private boat at the local price instead of the tourist price, and the balloon booked the way locals book it. The full version of this document shows every line.
"They found us a boutique hotel that wasn't on any booking site. Half the price of what I was about to pay. Worth every penny."

Two days, up close

Day 3 — the anchor

You leave the city in the dark and meet the balloon as the sky starts to grey. At first light you're floating over the Pyramid of the Sun, the whole valley gold beneath you, a champagne toast at the landing. Then breakfast inside a centuries-old cave near the pyramids, before the ruins themselves. By mid-afternoon you're back, and the rest of the day is yours.

Without a local expert: book the wrong balloon operator and you're on a crowded basket with a noon pyramid slot in full sun. Our plan names the operator, the pickup time that beats the crowds, and the cave table that's held for you. Operator, timing & cave table in your plan

Day 6 — cooking class + Pujol

The morning is hands-on: a market visit, masa ground by hand, salsas, and a full sit-down meal of everything you cook. You rest in the afternoon, then the evening belongs to Pujol — the tasting-menu centerpiece of the trip, nothing stacked against it so nothing feels rushed. Along the way: the taco crawl locals argue about, and a bar ranked among the world's 50 best — skip the line by going when we tell you.

Book first, not later. Pujol (and Quintonil on Day 4) fill roughly six weeks out — these reservations are the very first thing to lock, before flights are even ticketed. Names, times & reservations in your plan

What we handle

The reservations we secure

  • Michelin tables — Pujol & Quintonil fill ~6 weeks out. We book them the day your dates lock.
  • The sunrise balloon — the right operator and the pickup time that beats the crowds, held before it sells out.
  • Frida Kahlo Museum — timed tickets vanish 2–4 weeks out. We watch the release and grab yours.
  • Cooking class & hacienda day — confirmed 1–2 weeks ahead, around everything else.

How we pace it

  • One anchor per day — a single marquee experience, never stacked, so nothing feels rushed.
  • Day 3 is the hardest — the pre-dawn Teotihuacán start is the physical peak of the trip.
  • Day 4 recovers — deliberately lighter the day after, with dinner as the only fixed point.
  • Mondays are landmarks — major museums close, so Day 2 is the Historic Center, galleries come later.
8

What your plan includes

  • Everything this sample holds back — the hotels named with their live rates, the exact flights and the day to buy them, every reservation link, and the day-by-day timed to the hour.
  • Advisor review & approval — a real person checks the whole plan before it reaches you.
  • One revision round — refine anything once it's in your hands (Smart+).
  • Booking execution available — we make the reservations for you (+$50).
  • Delivered in 48 hours — from the moment your intake lands.
  • Backed by our promise — if we can't add value, you don't pay.
