What we collect

When you use our trip intake form, we collect the following information:

• Your first name and email address (required)
• Your phone number (optional)
• Trip details you provide: destination, travel dates, budget, travel style, trip goals, and points or miles program information

How your information is stored

Your trip details are stored temporarily in your browser's session storage. This data is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not currently transmit or store your information on external servers.

How we use your information

• To prepare personalized trip options before your free 15-minute call
• To prefill the scheduling form so you don't have to re-enter your name and email
• To communicate with you about your trip plan if you proceed past the free call

AI processing

When you proceed past the free intro call, your trip details and a transcript summary of your call are processed by Claude AI (Anthropic) to generate your trip plan draft. This processing occurs via the Anthropic API. Your data is used solely to produce your plan and is not used to train AI models. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing and is available at anthropic.com/privacy.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first tool that collects no personal data and sets no cookies. Page view data is fully anonymized and aggregated.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information to third parties
• We do not share your information with advertisers
• We do not set tracking cookies
• We are not affiliated with any airline, hotel chain, or bank

Your rights

Because your data lives only in your own browser's session storage, you can clear it at any time by closing the tab or clearing your browser data. If you have questions or want to request that we remove any information you may have shared with us directly by email, contact us at hello@travelhackadvisors.com.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
